The Boat

" The idea was born when John Scholey and I were having a chat as to what could be done with a full blown military boat.

I said jokingly I wonder if I could put a top on it and use it as a trip boat John Looked at me in disbelief so he asked me to confirm that suggestion.

I realized then the challenge was on.

After clearing out the basement floor I marked out the shape of boat on the floor. The obvious shape to my way of thinking was spherical so I homed in on a Gothic shape.

So after long hours of head banging walking up and down to the boat start with plan A and then plan B it goes on.

Anyway after building it in the basement first I took it down and rebuilt it on the boat.

John then insisted that only the best type of cover would complement the design and work that had already been done so off went to buy 10 sheets of perspex.

Its taken about 5 months very few days have gone by without touching the boat. "
